Many issues may be settled by the MLC. A retiree health plan, however, is not one. Health insurance is much too critical to our wellbeing to be entrusted to a group of labor leaders. Changing to a Medicare Advantage Plan, when traditional Medicare has served us extremely well over many decades, is the kind of issue that cries out for a direct vote of the rank and file.
