Three former NYPD officers have been sentenced to prison for their roles in a kickback scheme that involved shepherding owners of damaged cars to a tow company owned by one of the trio.
On Thursday, Michael Perri, who owned the business, was sentenced to a 33-month prison term and fined $25,000 by United States District Court Judge Rachel P. Kovner following his November guilty plea to conspiring to use interstate facilities to commit bribery. Perri, 34, of East Islip, had already paid the government over $158,000 in forfeiture, officials said.
