Police Commissioner James P. O’Neill promoted 126 officers and 12 civilians in ceremonies at Police Headquarters June 6. The promotees included two Deputy Chiefs.
Miguel A. Iglesias, commander of Narcotics Borough Brooklyn, is one of the new Deputy Chiefs. He joined the NYPD in April 1991. He has also headed the 73rd Precinct, Narcotics Borough Brooklyn North/Group 1, and Police Service Areas 2 and 9.
