Posted 10/23/21

As a teenager, he was pulled into a Queens station-house along with a brother for minor criminal conduct and beaten and kicked with such force by precinct cops that he said he urinated blood for several days afterward. He was not the best student, and things didn't begin to turn around for him until he was diagnosed with a learning disability while in high school.
