Appeals court allows Trump to end federal CBAs

A federal appellate court has lifted a temporary block on an executive order allowing agencies to end collective bargaining agreements with the majority of federal workers.

The panel of three appellate judges in the Ninth Circuit Court last week unanimously stayed a previous injunction that had temporarily blocked an executive order issued by President Trump in March. The administration’s order would allow agencies to end collective bargaining agreements with roughly two-thirds of federal employees over national security concerns.
