The American Postal Workers Union has completed its opening round of testimony in contract arbitration with the U.S. Postal Service, over a pact in which union officials say major givebacks would further hurt service and erode employee morale.
The union last month spent several days testifying before an arbitration panel headed by Stephen B. Goldberg, who handled its 2000-2003 contract.
