Presiding over his first promotion ceremony Jan. 31, Police Commissioner William J. Bratton appointed three Deputy Commissioners and a two-star Chief. He also promoted 120 other uniformed officers and 46 civilians.
William Andrews was designated Deputy Commissioner for Management Analysis and Planning, overseeing the office of the same name. OMAP is the NYPD’s research arm and think-tank; its responsibilities include crime analysis.
