Lawmakers have reintroduced a City Council bill that would mandate real estate developers building affordable housing with city funding pay their workers a wage and benefits package of at least $40 an hour.
The Construction Justice Act, first introduced last year, has garnered the support of several unions and community groups hoping to create a baseline for non-union construction workers on certain projects.
