Governor Cuomo agreed last week to debate his primary opponent, activist/actress Cynthia Nixon on Aug. 29—“in the dog days before Labor Day when ppl are checked out,” one reporter tweeted.
The debate will be held at Hofstra University on Long Island and aired on WCBS, stated an announcement Aug. 13 by Byron Brown, Chairman of the State Democratic Committee. It will last an hour and have a live audience of 150 people, according to news reports. A time was not announced.
