The former longtime president of the union representing the city’s probation officers admitted Thursday to defrauding the union and its members of about $750,000, money he used to pay for jewelry, lavish vacations, luxe meals and a relative’s college tuition.
Dominic Coluccio, who was president of the United Probation Officers Association from 1989 until 2016 and also served as administrator of its welfare funds from 2010 until 2019, pleaded guilty in federal court to one count of wire fraud, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York said.
