While hiring is underway to fill 540 full-time faculty at the City University of New York, the Professional Staff Congress continues to advocate that CUNY department chairs hire internal adjuncts for the lecturer positions.
Governor Hochul’s budget plan has indicated that adjuncts would be prioritized for these positions, but CUNY is already conducting a nationwide search for prospective candidates.
