An FDNY EMT suspected of having previously stolen from patients was arrested on grand larceny and other charges, accused of stealing $600 from an undercover investigator posing as a sick patient early Wednesday morning, the city’s Department of Investigation said.
The DOI investigator, purporting to require medical assistance, was being taken to Elmhurst Hospital early Wednesday morning in an ambulance staffed by Luis Carrillo Jr. when he saw Carillo, the target of the integrity investigation, remove the investigator’s wallet, which contained $1,100 in marked bills, the department said.
