The Correction Department's firing without explanation or notice of a probationary Auto Service Worker who survived the coronavirus and has a baby on the way has the union that represents auto mechanics demanding answers.
Frankie Perez, 27, was terminated the week before Thanksgiving, according to Joseph Colangelo, president of Service Employees International Union Local 246. “I talked to my shop steward at Corrections and he told me he was a good kid and that he would recommend him to anybody,” Mr. Colangelo said.
