Amid all the blame that rests with President Trump for his mishandling of the coronavirus crisis—which continues with his refusal to urge Americans to wear masks and observe social distancing even as medical experts say those are the best, simplest ways to get through the second wave and control the deadly virus, the one achievement he could claim some credit for was the development of a vaccine.

True, his branding of that initiative as Operation Warp Speed was unfortunate, since it's left some Americans with concern that rapidity rather than safety was the driving force behind its development. That made them reluctant to get vaccinated despite the assurances by both government agencies and medical professionals like the Fire Department's top doctor that it's safe, with minimal side-effects.
