A former NYPD police officer has been convicted of numerous charges in connection with the violent Jan. 6, 2021, U.S. Capitol breach carried out by supporters of then-President Donald Trump.
Sara Carpenter, 53, of Richmond Hill, Queens, was found guilty Thursday of civil disorder, obstruction of an official proceeding, both felonies, and five misdemeanors following a jury trial in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C.
