Amazon Workers United has filed a charge with the National Labor Relations Board alleging that an Amazon Fresh employee in Seattle was fired in retaliation for supporting union activities.
After experiencing clerical problems entering her attendance hours into an app used by Amazon Fresh staffers, 26-year-old employee Kaylyn Richards was issued a disciplinary strike against her. A manager assured her the errors would be resolved, but days later, she found that she was unable to access the app and received an automated email letting her know that she’d been terminated.
