Hendry will be PBA president after Grable drops out

Union treasurer will take over from Lynch July 1

For the first time in nearly a quarter of a century, someone other than Patrick J. Lynch will be leading the nation’s largest municipal police union come July 1. 

But despite announcing a few weeks ago that he would be stepping down at the conclusion of his sixth term as president of the Police Benevolent Association, Lynch appears to retain outsize influence at the union.
