ICE Union Feels Chilly Toward New Director

The National ICE Council, which represents the nation’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, was one of the only two national unions to endorse President Trump in 2016, but it has been sharply critical of the two men that Mr. Trump picked to lead their controversy-ridden agency.

Mr. Trump’s first pick, Tom Homan, left in June after a tumultuous 17-month tenure. His departure was precipitated when the Trump Administration’s zero-tolerance edict and child-separation policy for asylum-seekers sparked national outrage.
