Mayor de Blasio on April 9 appointed Stanley Brezenoff, an experienced municipal troubleshooter who became First Deputy Mayor under Ed Koch, as Chair of the Board of Correction, which sets performance standards for the Department of Correction.
Mr. de Blasio appointed the current BOC Chair, Gordon Campbell, to the board of the Health and Hospitals Corporation, with the recommendation that he be elected Vice Chair.
