In the wake of Donald Trump’s election as President and a recent uptick of bias attacks in the city, Mayor de Blasio has pledged to resist any Federal efforts to round up undocumented immigrants or permit the registration of Muslims residents in the city. Such proposals figured prominently in Mr. Trump’s campaign rhetoric that helped fuel his Electoral College victory.
