A division of the MTA has openings for cleaner’s/maintainer’s helpers (mechanic's helpers). The minimum salary for the positions with the Manhattan and Bronx Surface Transit Operating Authority is $19.60 per hour for a 40-hour workweek, increasing to $32.67 in the sixth year of service.
Benefits include night and weekend salary differentials, paid holidays, vacation and sick leave, a comprehensive medical plan and a pension plan.
