The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is accepting applications for auto mechanic helpers through June 15 for tests scheduled for Aug. 3 and 4. The current minimum salary is $24.28 per hour for a 40-hour work-week, increasing to $34.69 in the sixth year of service. The application fee is $68.
A promotion examination for this title is being held for eligible MTA NYCTA employees. The names appearing on the promotion list will be considered first in filling vacancies
