Most employers across New York state must include a salary range within job postings starting next fall following pay transparency legislation recently signed into law by Governor Kathy Hochul.
Companies with four or more employees looking to hire will be required to provide an hourly or annual salary or a minimum and maximum salary range “that the employer in good faith believes to be accurate at the time of the posting.”
