After the recent release from an upstate prison of Darryl Jeter, who had served 34 years for the murder of Police Officer Irma Lozada, Police Benevolent Association President Pat Lynch issued a statement saying it was "a blow to every cop who puts her life on the line to stop criminals from preying on innocent New Yorkers."
