Just days before their contract was set to expire, American Postal Workers Union members rallied in midtown Manhattan and The Bronx May 14, calling for better mail service, an end to the closing of mail-processing centers, and a strong new pact.
The protest in front of the James A. Farley Post Office, which drew about 50 participants, was part of the APWU’s National Day of Action, which included more than 120 events in 45 states.
