On June 6, the 75th anniversary of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy, President Donald Trump gave a speech carefully written for him honoring the incredible courage and sacrifices by the young men who hit the beaches that day, soon realizing that their chances of survival were slim. They saw dead bodies of their friends floating in the surf before they ever reached the beaches.
