To the editor:
The Presidential Greatest Project last year asked scholars to rank America’s presidents from Washington to Biden, with 150 individuals participating in the survey. The panel ranked President Trump 45th out of 45. (Were all 150 respondents Democrats?)
A recent letter to The Chief noted partisanship in these rankings, particularly regarding Reagan, who was ranked 16th (“Alpha and Omega,” July 4). Conservatives believed Reagan’s ranking should be higher, while liberals thought it should be lower.
According to reports, there was no disagreement regarding Trump — his first term was viewed as substandard by all 150 alleged scholars. The letter writer’s assertion that Trump bears no resemblance to Teddy Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt, or Eleanor Roosevelt is subjectivism. However, subjectivism is an abstraction and a misrepresentation of the facts.

It can only be factually argued that Trump bears little resemblance to the Roosevelts. I won't say no resemblance since it's hard to make such an absolute determination. To give one example, they were, and he is, biologically human.

Stating that the Roosevelts were, and Trump is, biologically human is a commonality. The Bible indicates that humans are the highest life form by stating that they are created in God’s image, as seen in Genesis 1:26-27, which says God made humans in His image and gave them dominion over all other creatures.
