The number of prospective city employees who applied to take civil-service exams in Fiscal Year 2022 more than doubled compared to the previous year, according to the Mayor’s Management Report.
The Department of Citywide Administrative Services received 164,942 applications for civil-service exams during the past fiscal year, which ended June 30. The city received 75,489 applications in FY 2021 and 78,442 in the prior fiscal year.
