To the Editor: City workers are realizing the panic being placed on them for vaccinations. A recent study shows that across the country, hospitals are doing just fine and are far from overcrowded. They can increase ICU beds at will by 50 percent, which is mandated by Federal law.
We didn't need the Javits Center or the military hospital ship in New York and now we are moving away from color-code arbitrary testing numbers to the imagined level of hospital usage to close down schools on children and teachers with a minuscule fatality rate. Hospital usage is the same as that in 2018 with the flu in winter.
