Slow going for S.I. Ferry talks

City gets extension to respond to comptroller’s wage findings

Little progress has been made between the city and the union representing Staten Island Ferry crews on a new contract. 

The two sides have engaged in sporadic talks regarding a first new contract in 12 years for the roughly 125 captains, co-captains, engineers and mates, with the union alleging delay tactics on the part of the city, including following the presence of a mediator during negotiations.
