State Gets 170,000 Doses Of Virus Vaccine Dec. 15

New York State will be receiving 170,000 doses of a coronavirus vaccine Dec. 15, according to the Federal Government, as long as all "safety and efficacy approvals are granted," Governor Cuomo announced Dec. 2.

He told reporters that the first rounds of the Pfizer vaccine would go to nursing homes and caregivers in those facilities. Such congregate-living facilities have been particularly hard-hit throughout the pandemic, with at least 6,000 residents and hundreds of staff members dying.
