Taking refuge

To the editor:

Mayor Eric Adams has on a few occasions blamed Texas Governor Greg Abbott for the migrant crisis. The problem in New York began when then-Mayor Edward Koch signed Executive Order 124 in 1989, prohibiting city workers from turning in undocumented immigrants who seek municipal services. There weren't so many immigrants to house, feed and school then. Times have changed.

Do you invite people to your house with no preparation or go on vacation without planning out a route? What did Adams think was going to happen when we continue to make New York

a sanctuary city and invite people with little or no preparation. Adams should be careful what he asks for and he should stop blaming and start working out the problem.
