City retirees fighting to fend off attempts by the Adams administration to shift them from their current and preferred Medicare plan into a Medicare Advantage program could soon have hundreds of powerful allies in Washington, D.C.
Bronx Congressman Ritchie Torres and Staten Island Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis on Thursday introduced legislation in the House of Representatives that would prohibit private and public employers from “involuntarily” steering people into privately administered Medicare Advantage plans.
