Corey Grable, a 30-year city cop and a union presence for two decades, said he is running to succeed Patrick J. Lynch, the longtime president of the Police Benevolent Association.
In announcing his candidacy Tuesday, Grable said that Lynch had essentially abdicated his responsibilities for not yet having secured a new contract for the union’s 22,000 members, nearly seven years after the previous agreement expired.
