To the Editor: In responding to the sedition riots at the Capitol, Donald Trump actually called the rioters "special." Ivanka Trump called them "patriots."
Trump had called on his supporters to storm the Capitol while the results of the election were being certified. VP Mike Pence had to be evacuated for his own safety after being verbally attacked by Trump for allowing the certification of the election to go forward—contrary to Trump's orders.
