Management at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is unilaterally eliminating “worker protections and rights” that union employees have had for decades at the agency, according to Pam Gilbertz, the American Federation of Government Employees Local 2883 President.
“When we met on Sept. 24, they proceeded to reject everything we had submitted, and they’re moving to eliminate 80 percent of our collective-bargaining agreement,” Ms. Gilbertz said in a phone interview.
