Amid pouring rain, Uber and Lyft drivers stood outside the City Hall gates last Thursday to push for a City Council bill that would provide protections against unfair and sudden account deactivations.
The rally was organized by the New York Taxi Workers Alliance, which represents 21,000 cab and app-dispatched drivers across the city.
