A Westchester County correction officer and another man face the possibility of decades in prison following their arrests on armed robbery charges in connection with a violent incident inside a Newburgh residence in early December, the office of the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York said.
Recaldo Fray, a CO at Westchester County Jail in Valhalla, was arrested Tuesday and charged with multiple counts, including Hobbs Act robbery; use, carrying, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence; and one count of tampering with a witness or victim; and attempting to do the same.
