Department fears EMS departures to NYPD, union leader says

FDNY union leaders are gearing up for their own negotiations following the announcement last week of a tentative eight-year labor agreement between the city and the Police Benevolent Association, which established a new wage-increase framework for uniformed workers.

But they also fear that Mayor Eric Adams’ recently announced budget-cut mandates could affect bargaining as well as treasured — and, in some cases, needed — overtime, they said.
