A week after the head of Brooklyn Defender Services allegedly tried to convince a union delegate to replace their union with a company-sponsored one, workers held a one-hour lunchtime picket Thursday to call for BDS’s executive director, Lisa Schreibersdorf, to resign.
Shreibersdorf, in a 30-minute one-on-one meeting Sept. 15, encouraged a BDS social worker and active union delegate to begin the process of decertifying the union, part of Local 2325 of the United Auto Workers, the social worker said.
