Workers Could Be Flexing Even More Muscle in 2022

Last year’s labor picture was dominated by several high-profile strikes and contract skirmishes, but 2022 could bring even more worker unrest, according to Labor Notes.  

With workers quitting in droves, employers in some sectors are finding it increasingly difficult to fill open slots, leading to increased employee leverage. Inflation will lead to increased costs for everything from food to rent. But, citing the prospect of numerous worker actions this year, the news site wrote: “There’s every reason to hold the line against concessions, or to win back what they gave away before.”
