I fully sympathize with the hardworking cab drivers who have faced bankruptcy due to money owed for medallions. I not only think that they should be provided with relief, but also that buying a medallion should be eliminated as a requirement for driving a taxi.
But we should not forget two of the reasons for the proliferation of Uber and Lyft customers.
