City employees represented by District Council 37 will be able to work a four-day week thanks to a pilot program instituted by the union and the Adams administration.
The compressed workweek will allow staffers who are not eligible for remote arrangements to work the same number of hours as they would over five days. The workers will also be able to alternate their schedules by working four days one week and then five days the next, according to the pilot, which the administration announced Wednesday.
