Nail salon workers are more likely to experience reproductive health issues and pregnancy complications, a recent report from the New York Healthy Nail Salons Coalition found.
A survey of more than 300 nail salon technicians conducted by the coalition across the state between June 2022 and last March, 18 percent of respondents said they had complications during their pregnancy, a significantly higher proportion than the 8 percent of the general population who experience complications.
