Every country, including the United States, employs a geopolitical strategy and ideology to guide its foreign policy. The Ukraine war is a case in point. President Biden told President Volodymyr Zelensky that the U.S. is “staying with you.” Congress had already approved $113 billion in aid to Kyiv and the administration now wants Congress to authorize an additional $21 billion. It already released a new $325 million-dollar military package from existing funds. Zelensky said that without additional aid Ukraine would be defeated, but never said what it would take to win.
