Six days after he was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting an Emergency Medical Technician, a Bronx man with a history of seizures had the charges against him dismissed by the Bronx District Attorney's Office, which concluded he had been suffering from another seizure and reached toward the EMT to try to steady himself rather than looking to grope her.
Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark, who had released Aaron Cervantes-Mejia Jan. 28 hours after he was taken into custody, saying she "deferred prosecution [to allow] further investigation," said surveillance video and interviews of people who had seen him suffer seizures beforeĀ established that he had suffered a medical emergency.
