The New York State court system has announced the establishment of a task force that will assess how artificial intelligence can help or harm the justice system.
The Advisory Committee on Artificial Intelligence and the Courts will analyze the ethical implications of using AI tools in the courts, identify best practices regarding AI use, think of ways for the court system to use AI on behalf of litigants and weigh in on whether the work standards for court employees and judges should address the use of AI tools.
