Mayor Eric Adams was challenged by a fearsome adversary, 84-year-old Holocaust survivor Jeanie Dubnau and he couldn’t take the heat. He lost his cool and pulled the race card. Dubnau is a college professor and tenants' rights activist, but when she criticized Adams for his support for rent increases, Adams told her “don’t stand in front like you treated someone that’s on a plantation that you own.”
That is blatant racism, and Adams won’t be able to brush it off as if Dubnau is oversensitive.
Dubnau responded to Adams by saying that he reminded her of someone else well-known for his rhetorical exaggerations: former President Donald Trump. We are finding out that Adams is incompetent and unqualified to be a political leader, much less the holder of the position that some have called the second most difficult job in the nation, second only that that of president.
Adams said his mother told him never allow someone to be disrespectful to you. So what is the answer, pull the race card and attack the one who criticizes you? Adams’ skin is so thin one can look right through him and see how little respect he has for anyone who challenges or criticizes him. No wonder he needs old friends and sycophants surrounding him. Yes, Ms. Dubnau, Mayor Adams looks more and more like Donald Trump. New York City is in trouble, and it will be more than two years before we can give Adams his pink slip.

Yes I agree with Ms. Dubnau stance on rent increases in NYC.
It is blatantly clear that the Mr. "One Time" Mayor Adams and his administration is seeking kickbacks from the money hungry building Landlords who owns the rental properties.
Mr. Adams became visibly upset with Ms. Dubnau because she blew his cover.
Mr. Adams is a lair and a crook.
Just like the kickbacks he was anticipating to receive from the Medicare Advantage Plan that would have an adverse effect on the hundreds of thousands of City retirees .
I cannot wait for his mayoral term to soon come to an end...
The hard working people of the NYC deserves to be treated with respect and dignity.
