A former New York City Department of Buildings supervisor has been indicted on bribery charges after allegedly accepting more than $75,000 in cash and other benefits from three construction industry insiders in exchange for fast-tracking permit approvals across all five boroughs.
Jake Udeh, who served as assistant chief plans examiner, faces charges of second-degree bribery, bribe receiving and conspiracy. The three men who allegedly paid him — Mike Hwang, Anson Tse and Shiming Tam — face the same charges in New York State Supreme Court.
