Mayor Zohran Mamdani and city officials launched a new workforce center in Lower Manhattan Sept. 28 designed to help New Yorkers navigate the process of finding and securing jobs in public service.
The Jobs NYC Center, at 2 Lafayette Street, was developed by the Department of Small Business Services and Department of Citywide Administrative Services turning a long-vacant city-owned space into a permanent hub for career services, job fairs, hiring halls and workforce development events.
